An investigation into the style and ideas of the ways in which this theatre company use physicality to create meaning on stage. This unit is also about the connection between actors and their audiences and encourages students to develop skills in learning collaboratively.

|'Storytelling' -What makes an ordinary story extraordinary?
During this unit we aim to explore effective storytelling techniques using a variety of tales including the cautionary story of “Wacky Soap”. Students are asked to create their own Theatre in education performance based on a social issue.

|Spring||'Mask and Mime' – Physical Theatre in practice
During this unit students look at the origins and development of mask and mime. There is a focus upon how to make effective and memorable mask and mimed performance work for an audience.

|'DNA’ – Bringing texts to life
A practical study of “DNA” by Dennis Kelly. The play looks at issues surrounding friendships and gangs telling the story of a group of teenagers who make a big mistake. Students are encouraged to experiment with staging and interpreting key scenes developing rounded and believable characters.

During this unit students further develop confidence in creating Drama from various starting points including music, props and pictures.
